What the site stores

Why the banner still appears
UK rules on electronic communications ask sites to explain what they store before storing it. The banner gives that explanation and records your answer. Declining changes nothing about how the pages work, because nothing optional runs in the first place.
Local storage and server records
Both entries live in local storage, which the browser keeps for this site only and never sends with page requests. Separately, our host records technical details of each request for security, as any web server does; the privacy notice describes that record and how long it is kept.
Changing your mind
The “Cookie settings” button in the footer of every page reopens the banner. You can also clear the site's data in your browser settings; the next visit then starts fresh and asks again. In most browsers the option sits under privacy or site settings, listed by the address of the site.
After you leave through a partner link
Once a partner link takes you to the operator, that site sets its own cookies under its own policy, and our notice no longer applies.
